I think you're clearly interested in the woman's opinion here, but I'll throw my 2 cents in.

I used to pull plenty of chicks from dating sites when I used shirtless pics. Put a shirt on and it's a noticeable dent in the numbers. The sites themselves started banning shirtless pics a while back because dudes like me were swiping all the girls.

I'm just saying, if you're fit... you'll have a clear advantage when you take your shirt off.

My bros and I actually have a running joke about it... that women love tits too. Obviously you got to have larger pectoral muscles to know the comparison I'm making.

I didn't really have hair on my chest until I was 40, and it's just not that bad to the point of requiring shaving. I would suggest just going all natural unless you modified your genetics with steroids or something.

I think you'll get the chicks that are attracted to a hairy chest with a hairy chest which is probably better in the long run rather than doing a bunch of modifications that you'll have to maintain. Basically just go with what genetics gave you and hit the weights like crazy... you'll get chicks no matter what your genetics.

Like you look at my genetics... not all chicks think I'm hot. The ones that do are what matter to me.

Honestly I don't know what they want... but, they want something I don't got. I mean I'd be a liar if I didn't admit chicks have rejected me to go home with a fat man with a hairy chest and floppy man tits... shorter than me even. Shit like that is exactly the reason I don't even try to pick up women anymore... I wait until they're coming up and talking to me and just give them the green light after that.

I've thought about it, and I just blame it on genetic preference. Like, have you ever seen one of those fat chicks with a big back and a man face... and then realize that there are men out there that actually think that's sexy? I figure it's just the same in reverse... there has to be chicks out there that prefer hairy chests over a smooth one or else our ancestors would've bred them out a long ass time ago. Another example would be bald guys... a whole lot of chicks say they only want fully haired guys like me, but they sure as fuck hook up with the bald guys don't they? That could be a factor in some cases since women do value a lot more than just looks... money, gift of gab, and so on. But I think it's just genetics at the end of the day when I clearly have more money and the guy speaks like a troglodyte. It's hard to imagine based off what to vocal majority online would say they want, but there has to be some out there (which I've seen them speak as well by the way) that fantasize about running their fingers through chimp hair on a human.

I mean think about women in general... the mass of them say they want nice guys that do this and that for them, but at the same time a large mass of them go for guys that will treat them like shit.

That's what leads me to conclude... just be the best version of yourself and you'll get the chicks. Getting the chicks is the easy part in fact after you do the hard part of doing hard work for at least a year. Hard work can express itself with money, muscles, or learned social manipulations... even social prowess. For the sake of simplicity... I say just hit the gym for an hour/day and then do your day. Eventually the chicks are hitting on you for very biological reasons. The reason I don't say go make money... because if you attract them to you for money, they might not even fuck you. They just want that money.

If it's my guy it is, but I don't go on the internet just looking for shirtless men the way guys do. It's a whole different thing. I could show my boyfriend a picture of a naked girl and he would go, oh wow, he might even get hard from it, and then he'd say something like but not as hot as you, but if he showed me a shirtless guy or 10 shirtless guys the most I might say is he's ok, why are you showing me those? I certainly don't speak for all women but I'd bet for most the reaction would be the same.
