I now much of the time it's a polite thing, but what if it's a very bright smile, like a legit smile. This girl smiles very widely around me and seems happy to see me. We're both very shy, so not sure what to think of it. We're both 17.

There are plenty of indicators that a girl likes or dislikes you.

There is an inherent problem with going with just one indicator.

What you have to really look for is clusters, a grouping of indicators that shows a girl likes you.
