Arrogance is noisy, confidence is quiet.

Arrogance is all about having people look at you, validate you and respect you based on nothing concrete. Confidence is not needing people to look at you or validate you, and having respect for yourself because you know what really matters. Players are arrogant, constantly needing validation from women to fuel their malignant narcissism

I completely agree with your definition of confidence and I'm only attracted to men that have it.

I think most women end up with guys like this because they confuse the ability to make the loudest noise, with the character to be yourself in a room full of sheep.

The same goes for men. I often see guys going for the girls who have the loudest voice, the shortest dresses and the most amount of make up.

It doesn't matter though because the right person will always see you regardless of whoever is around.

They may have been abused or mistreated as children... another possibility is that they don't know the difference between arrogance and confidence...

Most people don't look too deeply into others when they hang out with them. They don't spend too much time analyzing personalities to figure out: is this pride or confidence? Is this ambition or vision? etc...

Arrogance isn't about validation, arrogance is about me being better than you. Confidence is about me being comfortable enough to view myself as an equal to you. Low confidence is about me feeling inadequate and seeking your validation to feel better about myself.

I wouldn't say that most girls like arrogant guys. In fact, girls often say they want someone who is confident but not cocky. However, every girl is different, and some may just not be that bothered by arrogance. Maybe some are arrogant themselves. Or maybe they make the wrong choice and end up unhappy with the relationship.

I have never been attracted to arrogance and I believe that's the norm. If it appears to you that the majority of girls go after arrogant men, it could be a bias on your part.

Takes time to know em. I don't like arrogant guys because I have a fairly big ego myself if needed. I hate guys with an oversized ego, it's a turn off. I like someone who is real. I know I'm confident though

I don't like arrogant guys. I think there's a fine line (although it can sometimes be vague) between confidence and arrogance. I don't like guys that are prideful and full of themselves. And I'd say most (if not all) of my friends feel the same way too.
