What do you consider a cute girl? How do you differentiate from a cute, pretty, or hot girl? Any preference?

I am called cute all the time...I know you're probably going to say that its better than being called ugly. However, that's not my point. I am really self-conscious and my self-esteem is not all that great. I really wished to be called pretty once in a while, but when people describe me, they describe me as cute. Even my ex boyfriend would say I was the "cutest girl in the world." I NEVER heard him say I was beautiful. Why? How do you differentiate a cute, pretty, or hot girl? While it doesn't bother me that at least they think I'm cute rather than plain old ugly, it kinda makes me wonder why its ONLY cute and never anything else. What characteristics make for a cute girl vs pretty, beautiful, etc? thanks a lot:)

I think it's pretty similar to how women differentiate from a cute guy (guy you can cuddle with/ take home to your parents) & a hot guy (self-explanatory).

Except this time it's just the other way around.

Cute girl = I don't know about other guys but a cute girl to me is like someone I can see as a potential long-term girlfriend. She's adorable & sweet. She like kind of exudes a more playful vibe about her. Think of like "the girl next door" type.

Usually for some girl's it's kind of like characterised by like a combination of a youthful looking face or her mannerisms that kind of pretty much make her adorable/sweet.

Hot girl = To me this is sort of like a girl with the "whole package" (physically) and she knows it. She's like all decked out - has her hair done & everything.

It's sort of hard to explain but like she exudes "sexuality". Think of like when you see those female models posing for a magazine - they kind of try do this like "sexual look". Someone you would most likely want to sleep with, however, might not be the type that you want to bring home to your parents or see yourself in something long-term with.

When I think of a hot girl I usually think of like either a girl who sort of has that 'plastic look' or a girl who's like naturally extremely beautiful.

A hot woman is someone who's so very sexually appealing at a first glance, and kinda gives you a boner with a single wink.
