If you're on the fence about writing mytakes and you're asking yourself, should you write one, I would definitely encourage you to give it a try.
You cannot get better at writing if you don't do it
A lot of people doubt their writing skills or someone once told them they weren't good at it, but you cannot improve your writing skills if you don't take the time to actually write. This isn't just on GaG, this is in every part of your life. At least here, this is not for school or work so you can "fail" once, twice, repeatedly, and there aren't any repercussions. Don't be afraid of that. At least here, you can be Anon as well. The thing is, we fail a million times a year at things we try, but the reason we keep trying is because we want to get better and to succeed at doing them, so don't give up, even if you are struggling with writing in general or have language issues. You have to start somewhere.
Everyone has an opinion, but so do you
You have a voice in this world, but a lot of people don't get to use it out there in their own lives because maybe you're a bit shy, or are not the type to speak up, or don't want to cause waves, but you have just as much of a right to your own opinion as everyone else and if you can't exhibit it here in the vastness of the internet, then where? Use your voice to talk about issues, vent, tell personal stories, talk about something fun or funny, give your opinions on political/world issues, or speak to something local.

Write what you know
It's hard to talk about what's not familiar. I would encourage writing what you know above all else, because it's hard to come across as knowing what you're talking about or even asserting your opinions, when there is not much behind them or you don't know the facts behind a story you're trying to tell. People see through that on paper, online, and in the real world. So write what you know. It's easier to do, and you can defend your opinions more easily if you know what you're talking about or it's personal.
Keep it short
If you're a new scribe, don't think you have to go on for days. Start with something short and succinct. I've read quite a few takes where there were no more than 15-20 sentences, but if you have a point, and a few points to back that up, that's all you need. I also think in the realm of GaG, a lot more people will thank you for keeping it short.
