4 Reasons Why I Don't Write myTakes

1. I Don't Think They Would Be That In Depth

Everybody always writes these long, detailed myTakes and I just don't think I'm capable of that.

2. I'm Not Sure What To Write About

I have a ton of ideas, but I can never decide what to write about, so I don't bother trying.

3. I'm My Own Critic

Whenever I attempt to write anything, it usually takes me several tries before I either give up or decide that it's good enough.

4. Writing Is Exhausting

I know this sounds childish, but I do tend to feel exhausted after I've been writing for a while. Maybe I'm just not cut out for it?

With that being said, I may or may not write another myTake someday, if I ever decide what to write about.

I've been here over a year, and I've written about 8 or 10 MyTakes. I mainly do them just because I like the subject, and I like the challenge of trying to put one together. They rarely ever get featured, and they usually only get a handful of responses, but I can still be proud of myself for putting them together. I don't think I'll be doing very many MyTakes in the future, since I've pretty much said everything I've wanted to say.

Have you ever noticed on GAG that the stupidest questions get the most responses?

If it's something thought provoking or intellectually challenging, it usually gets no responses at all.

@villageidiot - I've down Takes that I thought were really good, but they don't get much traction, but then on the Featured Page, I'll see something like "Girls, What does it feel like when a guy cums in your ass" or something like that, and it gets about 50 responses. LOL!

Both negative and constructive criticism have their appropriate uses, but often it is considered a requirement of criticism that they are combined.

Writing answers on GirlsAskGuys helps Good Indian multifold first, resolve someone's query which makes you feel great later in the day, second, learn something new everyday in your field of expertise and other domains. Answering questions related to a specific topic makes one think. It is a good exercise to the brain especially if Good Indian want to be distracted for a while.

I just joined Gag. And within a few days, I wrote my first myTake. I got a lot of mixed reviews. But i sat through all of the bad opinions and replied to each and everyone of them. I write so I can express myself. It helps cope with my depression. I draw inspiration from my life. So you really dont have to research and all.

I dont write cause I dont think anyone will read them or care about what I think, besides I rarely ever read them.
Some people here write mytakes like they know everything but in reality they dont know shit lol
