Amazing take! You do give great advise and I believe in the wisdom of older people. It's foolish to think that just because it's new to you, it's new to the world. You keep on giving your advice and I wish you and your girlfriend the best!
I appreciate your kind words!
I like you.
"Human nature hasn’t changed. Despite your perception that you are vastly different from everything that preceded you, the fact is that human nature changes very slowly. VERY slowly!"
Interesting. Everything you wrote is Interesting actually.
63 isn't even that old. My grandparents are 79 and can barely use a phone.
I think its awesome having an older G@G user here. It means you have more wisdom and life experience that we can learn from :)
I appreciate your kind words.
Great post. I found this site by accident and didn't think anyone would pay attention to anything I had to say but some of them actually did.
I got a kick out of the ad from the Honor House catalog. I used to send away for that and the Johnson& Smith catalog when I was a kid. They were full of all kinds of interesting things.
Nice My Take. I agree with you... time change, but there's still nothing new under the sun.
I think being older and having more experience gives you a broader perspective of things... that's very good when someone needs your advice. When I ask for advice I ask older people. They're already walked that path and learned from their own mistakes.
You said, "There's nothing new under the sun." You know who said that first? King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived.
So you are wise beyond your years!
Nice Take I've been here myself since 2011. I hope you don't think of yourself as a Grandpa you are still working you got a long life ahead of you. Look at Sylvester Stallone still making Rocky movies AKA Creed in his early 70s
You are right. I am healthy and active and have not yet made any reservations at a nursing home! :) Thanks!
You don't need it you're working man that can take care of business
That female head is terrifying holy f did people actually have that on their walls? How did they sleep at night?, creepy af
I have never seen one of those things in person. When I googled for a picture to illustrate "trophy wife," that was one of the first items in results and I used it just because it was such an eye catcher!
Thank you for sharing your MyTake with us , well appreciated and hope you stay forever on GAG. You're a great guy for sure !!!
Those are very kind words! Thanks!
You're Welcome :)
Very Nice read. Thank you for your services and advices my friend! I appreciate it.
You may imagine yourself as a grandpa but you are more than that. You are a guide if you will. You are the (older) tree of wisdom if you will. You are not to be forgotten.
I'm happy you're here. You are one of my favorite users.
I appreciate your kind words!
I'm glad you're here. I'm not a very active user, I'm more of a lurker. I only keep my G@G account because you and a couple other users post sensible opinions and/or myTakes that I find worth reading.
I appreciate your very kind words!
Very good take, even I get rude comments for being on here at times for my age and yet I have a lot of good advice based off my experiences in life , I talk to all ages with respect to there age and know how to act but there are always a few that will say rude comments because of our age
A good take from the well respected patriarch of GAG! Bless you! :-)
I was 14 when I met a 51 year old man and been friends until I was 18
Sometimes, friendship crosses generations and not every older man has inappropriate intentions. :)
Very true. He was there for me when I was going through a hard time. He was my father figure
Do you still have contact with him?
No he stopped talking me after I turned 18. He never asked for nudes from me. He was respectful towards me. I still miss him till this day. We were talking about marriage at 16
isn't that kind of ironic,
Your comments are usually sensible. Thanks for allowing me to know you better.
You know, on this site, being above the age of 29 makes you a "senior!" So. . . I appreciate having some company in the seniors' section!
😂😊
I do too. Thanks.
Beautiful MyTake, @OlderAndWiser, And Also... AN ICON, hun!!! xxoo
. . . said one icon to another! :)
Love it
nice take sir , why people call you bad stuff anyways they dont know you , there's something that only experienced people can feel , older generations had more morals and more innocent , not like todays generation where all are crybabies and disrespectful people.
Although I am not really the target group being one of the older members here myself and no babe in the woods, I also appreciate your contributions.
I think you're a valuable member of GaG.
You always give good advice even if the person doesn't want to hear it.
I enjoyed your mytake. Hopefully some of the young users will have learned something from it.
