What did you guys get? I got INTJ which really fits my character.

I decided to share this mainly because i was always wondering why I was a certain way. Turns out, lack of emotion and social skill is one of the traits of intj. Also not functioning well in school is a part of it too!

It was a great relief to me to see i am not the only one struggling with this, though INTJ is rather rare and that is why I often do not get along well with others.

Daenerys Targaryen (i have never wathced game of thrones but i have heard she is bad ass), Jon Snow, Maester Luwin, Dumbledore- Wise, introspective and eerily adept at understanding the motivations of others, Dumbledore was the epitome of a well-developed INFJ. He was fiercely analytical when it came to determining right from wrong and he was frequently able to see things in a universal scheme rather than simply referring to what was immediately apparent. Dumbledore’s wise, protective nature represented the INFJ archetype in its most developed form. hmmm dumbledore is either loved or hated. People tend ot have strong opinions about him.

i always get INFJ without trying. Weirdly enough, its the rarest type in the world. People have strong opinions about dumbledore like how many people feel he was keeping harry alive until the right moment (Snape said like a pig for slaughter) but i think he did it for the greater good and because Dumbledore also had screwed up priorities in his teenage years. @asker

hahaha i remember after i finished reading book #6 i was cursing at snape and calling him a coward for killing a man who had no wand to defend himself. But my sister kept saying you dont know the whole story and when snape died, i felt so bad.

However, I know one thing for certain: I REALLY don't understand the people who get "ESFP" on this.

I can sum it up in one word: bullshit.

I used to believe in this stuff but them one of my psychology friend explained this stuff to me. He mentioned Forer effect. He explained and I argued that I always get INFP and blah blah blah. I didn't believe it until I felt it myself. It's exactly like astrology.

Forer Effect/Barnum Effect: Tendency of people to rate sets of statements as highly accurate for them personally even though the statements could apply to many people.

Those decisions change as person's mood changes. It's very likely to have totally different type at some other time.

A personality test should include what you say + why you said that. This test includes only first part, which is ever-changing for most people.

Of course! But in the core certain values remain that makes you the way you are, i didn't think i was arrogant when i said certain things, but others thought so. It is a molded fundamental difference

My point was; people shouldn't take this test seriously. When people read 'Personality test', they attach it with word 'scientific' and they believe whatever they got is 100% true! I bet 99% people do this, I did! One of those types has this line "Bad with handling financial tasks" and my friend got that type. He wasn't that bad but he got this thing in mind that he can't handle financial stuff.

Take this test with a grain of salt. Don't take it seriously. It can highlight some things...

i just really liked the fact that this was 100% my description with intj. i never got why people didn't like me and here everyone likes everyone and i felt so left out. which is why i shared this, this can just lead to more selfunderstanding!

This is nothing like astrology. Astrology uses completely irrelevent information, a person date of birth has no effect on their personality. But asking someone "Do you like to talk a lot, or are you quiete" does tell you if they are extroverted or introverted. Of course mood has a play, but then that only makes the test accurate according to the mood, but it's still accurate and not employing barnum statements.

Yep, I'm an ISFJ, close enough to the center that I can easily impersonate any of the other F alignments in a pinch; yet ISFJ is what I default to. I always wanted to be the artist; but it turns out I'm just as much a social worker according to the above diagram as I am an artist. I'd also work well as a photographer or teacher, though I'm not so confident I'd want to be a lawyer. Nor a doctor. Nor a nurse. I'm slightly germaphobic, and I don't trust my stubby fingers with surgical tools.

Seriously though, I am an ENFJ (sometimes INFJ). However, there are criticisms of the Meirs Briggs personality types. Firstly, they often sound like zodiacal signs (they tend to say some vague and positive personality traits, and when people are given a bunch of vague and positive personality traits, they tend to agree that it describes them, even if those traits were randomly generated).

I've taken these tests multiple times in the past few years and I ALWAYS get ENTJ, without even trying. But I feel like only about half of the description of ENTJ fits me. Like, I don't think I'm similar to Draco Malfoy at all (it says he's an ENTJ).

It's also the second-least common type so that makes me happy.

@ginnyweasley Nah I can easily see him as being an extrovert. If anything, he became more introverted near the last few books. Before that he was always talking, always had people following, etc. If he was introverted I don't think he would've gone out of his way to insult Harry so much.

I am an ENFP. Apparently I am A champion and my dream position supposed to be lawyer. However, sometimes I feel more extroverted than I do introverted because I spend a lot of time alone. don't get me wrong I have a lot of social skills, but I have been bullied in the past and I do tend to put walls up between me.
