Guys, Be Like Mark. You'll Be Happier

Mark's flaws didn't stop him from winning Vickie's heart

So if any of you have ever seen the first Friday the 13th that had Jason as the killer(Part 2) then you'll know all about Mark. He's the guy who had an accident with his motorcycle and he is bound to a wheelchair. I see a lot of guys here that talk about the issues they face in dating. Guys claim they can't find a girl who will accept them because they have a bad job, are unattractive, aren't that tall etc. None of these things will stop a guy from meeting a girl they can have a romantic connection with no matter how many times you say otherwise.

Mark is literally bound to a wheelchair and he wins the heart of Vickie a young attractive camp counselor. No, Mark doesn't win Vickie's pity. Mark won Vickie's friendship and Mark became Vickie's desire. Vickie full on wanted Mark and she was not shy about it either. You can argue it's because Mark's handsome but that by itself is not what made him desirable nor is it the primary thing that made him desirable.

Mark has an optimistic personality and he's driven. If you actually listen to his story during the film(which makes it all the more tragic considering what happens) you see that despite the fact he lost the use of his legs in a motorcycle accident he doesn't mope around. He even tells Vickie that he vows to walk again and he refuses to give up despite doctors telling him otherwise. Vickie falls for Mark because of how determined and strong-willed Mark is and Vickie flirts with Mark like crazy. Vickie even goes back to her cabin to freshen up because she plans to seduce Mark that tragic night at the camp.

If we lived in the world where all women are super shallow which some of you think we do and it's the reason you think you can't find romance then someone like Mark would never have a chance in the world considering his condition regardless of his looks. Shallow people wouldn't even give someone in a wheelchair a second glance. Mark gives no shits. He's cheerful, he's confident and wins against his friends at arm wrestling showing he still keeps his health up as best he can. He still takes pride in himself. Mark is ambitious and determined believes he can accomplish a miracle by walking again. Seeing Mark's positivity and how Mark isn't afraid to believe in himself made Vickie wild about Mark. If you adopt the kind of attitude that Mark has it'll be hard to feel pity for you because people will have so much admiration towards you. If you adopt a personality and attitude like Mark's I promise you will win the hearts of friends and find romance and it'll be with the right person because the right person to be in a relationship with values the characteristics Mark has above all else. Be like Mark.
