It annoys me that it’s ok to tell men how to be men, but it’s sexist to tell a woman how to be a woman.
Neither of your statements are correct. It is NOT right to tell anyone man or women how to be themselves. Stereotypical ideas of how man and women should act will always be around, but it is not okay to use any of these stereotypes to determine if a man is masculine or a woman is feminine. It is sexist both way.

@Pipeliner87. Sorry you feel that way. I’m not like that. You can open doors if you want but I’ll hold it open for you as well. I understand how plenty of men are uncomfortable about approaching a woman but you have nothing to worry about if you simply introduce yourself, let her know that you find her attractive, and ask her out. If she says no, move on. A lot of guys who get in trouble don’t do that or there are crazy women who are insecure and irrational. Really. Someone reported my coworkers and I for hugging (third party sexual harassment) and she was a customer. Something must have triggered her, she had different cultural norms, or she was simply irrational.
