A Woman's Perspective On Guys And Their Game

It's flattering when a gentleman approaches a lady and tastefully compliments her, is it not?

Notice that I used the word "gentleman".

I won't go and say that gentlemen don't exist and that chivalry is dead, however I will say that they are few and far between. There are too many guys nowadays that consider themselves to have "game". I'm guessing that by game, they mean they can go up to any female and say anything to her and she will be swept off of her feet and onto her back in no time.
Also, please notice in the first sentence that I used the word, "lady".

Maybe guys are getting the wrong impression and think that they have "game" because the females they approach aren't ladies. Maybe they're just as desperate as the gamers.(I'll use that term because I like it lol) It seems as though most people, men and women alike, feel that love is a game, and so they treat the path to finding love as a game as well.

I'm not by any means going sit here and say that I'm all prim and proper, because I know that I'm not. But I do know a little thing called respect. Respect for others as well as myself. I know that there are girls out there that will take any kind of attention they can get from a guy, but I also know that there are girls out there that will agree with what I'm about to say.

If I'm walking somewhere minding my own business, and some guy approaches me like I'm a piece of meat, that is not cute or flattering to me. If I'm looked at as a piece of meat, then I will look at him as a carnivorous and creepy animal.

When guys whistle to try to get my attention, I don't reply because, well, I AM NOT A DOG, and I don't come running to whistles. When I'm walking in the grocery store and some guy that's probably older than my grandfather says,"Hey baby!", that just tells me that somewhere out there, generations of womanizing assholes are being created.

I can go on and on with examples, but the point is that all of those guys were obviously confident enough with their "game" to be that disrespectful. Although they probably didn't see it that way, I felt disgusting and cheap simply by WHAT THEY DID! It's a creepy feeling when you're stared at like you're about to be pounced on like some lion's helpless prey.

So what I really hope people get out of reading this is:

For the guys: If you think you have game, think about how many respectable girls your game has gotten you. And remember that a respectable girl can't just be "picked up".

And for the ladies: Be ladies! Don't let these gamers think it's alright to disrespect you because that's setting up another woman to be disrespected because it's telling the guys that it's okay.

And to both: Treat your body as a temple. Respect yourself and respect others. Treat the opposite sex with the same kind of respect you would like your sister or brother to be treated with. Thank you and God Bless!
