Guys, should I be worried my boyfriend has a stripper friend?

my boyfriend has a stripper friend. I got upset when i heard it because I can't accept the fact he even associated himself in making a stripper friend.

what do you guys think? Is my thinking wrong? I think of breaking up with him becuse of this. It really tells me a lot of the individual.

I had some stripper (current and former) friends before. They were just friends, and no sex was had. Just because they are strippers doesn't mean they sleep with everyone they meet, and in fact, strippers tend to want to be friends with people who are able to see them for something OTHER THAN their sexual side - and tend to not be interested in people who only see their sexual side (they view those people as "marks", just like their strip club customers).

Obviously, individual situations are different, but it's really not the end of the world.

Kidding aside I think it's shallow in your part. Its just a friend. Unfortunately I have some friends that don't have legal jobs let alone a stripper and they are still my friends. I don't approve of it but they have to do what they gotta do.

Being a stripper is a legal job. But others they just choose what's easier for them I guess. I don't know the exact reasons they do it. I just know some do and it's not for me.

What does it say? That he doesn't judge a person by there proffesion? What you need to do is get to know her, find out how they became friends and not decide to destroy a relationship on something as trivial as this. Talk to him, talk to her. Maybe you will find that she is a scummy person and so is he, maybe you will find that she is a good person and so is he. Either way judging them with out giving them the chance to prove there character says more about you then them.

Why? Do you think strippers where born and raised in a strip club? Also go to a strip club and you will see its not what you think. They are rather sad places in my opinion where men pay women ten dollars to have said women pretend to be attracted to them for five minutes.(I was dragged their for a bachelore party) This sounds a lot more to do with you then him. Are you afraid he is cheating on you? Do you not feel like your attractive enough? To judge someone on this seems kind of extreme. I had a colleague who was a stripper before she started working in the same department where I was. My girlfriend knew and wasn't worried by it even though we had work functions and this girl would show off some moves. My girlfriend would ask abut her and even became really good friends with her. Maybe you could do that. Get to know her as a person... you'll either confirm your suspicions, or be pleasantly surprised that there's nothing to worry about...

So i think to play it safe, better cut him off at first instance. by the way why would someone decent background would even talk to such individuals and be friendly with them.
