What does it mean when a guy says "you chose me"?

isn't it the same way around? isn't it also that the guy chose me? but he says I chose him? so does this mean he thinks I like him more than him or is this some ego thing? guys help please.

Be very careful with this guy. When some guy/girl says something like this, the unsaid part is usually, "I didn't choose you". Yes, your gut feelings are spot on. It has to do with a huge ego. It is like, "I am high up, you are the one begging".

It also implies he is running away from his part of whatever responsibility. It usually arises from his forseeing the outcome already; i.e. this relationship goes nowhere. He is using you for something; sex, rebound..etc.

This kind says things indirectly, leaving you to figure out what is the unsaid part, confuse you is what they want. Very manipulative mentalities, also very controlling. When you get confused, you're easily controlled/manipulated.

Make sure he is blown, directly confront him with the question, "Do you choose me too?" in this case. Nail him with a solid answer, don't let him sleaze off. Observe his facial expressions, the split-seconds "gap" one is what you're looking for because they tell the truth, never trusts his words. Trust your gut feelings.

The ultimate answer is probably, "Bye bye". BUT, for the moment, you can see what he has gotten up his sleeve if you want to. For this type, throw his tactics back at him, say, "You choose me".
