Ugh I know this is silly and I'm probably overly sensitive, but I've always been a bit insecure about my appearance. My boyfriend of a bit over a year, and I were just talking about attractiveness in general. Obviously he's going to find actresses and models more attractive than me, I understand that. But what kind of hurt was when he told me he finds my best friend more attractive than me. I understand that you don't date someone solely for their looks, so I jokingly (not so jokingly) asked if he would go for her, and he didn't say no, he just said that she's out of his league so he wouldn't stand a chance. I don't know this probably sounds really silly but it's hurtful I guess.

There's always going to be someone better than you in any aspect. But your boy made a dumb move by saying that! I was about to say "he's dating you, not her", but then I saw the "he didn't say no" part and that's really messed up. It luckily hasn't happened to me (I haven't date much) but, I would have bluntly told him what I thought and gotten mad at him. I'm sure a male GaGer's gonna butt in but still, you don't say that in front of your girl. A guy wouldn't like me checking someone out or talking about how attractive they are. That's something you either don't do or keep to your buddies/best friends (cause, honestly, how many of us girls haven't drooled over those celebrities? None! Same for guys).

Your boyfriend or girlfriend should be the most beautiful to you because they are the person you choose to give your heart to. They are more than just a person but also your best mate and that should make someone the most attractive in your eyes for being that person. I'd be hurt too. It's insensitive. With that said, he might be too immature to understand this.

Please read what I wrote. Then you'll get that I'm not askig anyone to lie. Your partner SHOULD be most beautiful to you. If not then you are not in the right relationship. You don't love someone cause they are beautiful. Someone is beautiful to you because you love them. Like I said maybe some guys are just too immature to comprehend this.

For example my last ex who I loved very much. Were there other hot guys out there? Sure. Of course. Plenty. However in my eyes my ex would always be the best and take first prize cause I LOVED him and he was my eveything. That made him the most attractive. Love isn't just about looks. There is also feelings involved.

To be honest, there's always going to be someone out there who's more attractive than you and I'm sure there's a woman out there who's more attractive than your friend. What does it mean? Absolutely nothing. He's with you after all. There's a reason why he's with you and not with her anyway. Maybe you have a character trait that's attractive, maybe you have more to offer.
