Guys, how would you feel if a female friend of yours suddenly stopped talking to you?

I had a friend I cared about deeply, but a few months into the friendship his behavior changed and I didn't like how he treated me. When I say him down to discuss how I was feeling, I let him know that I felt disposable to him and I couldn't confidently say he cared about me. It has been a month since our conversation and nothing has changed, so I think it's best to let him go. I asked for all my things back that I've lent him, and plan on just moving forward without him. No contact. Would that be too harsh? Should I end the friendship differently?

You're probably better of moving on, I don't think it's harsh. I had something somewhat similar happen to me. A female friend out of nowhere messaged me that she heard from someone I was calling her things like fat pig, slut, etc, behind her back. I never said any of those things, but she didn't care and decided to trust whoever told her that, so after a fight she stopped talking to me. How did I feel? I just said to myself that if she doesn't care enough about our friendship to find out the truth or if she would blindly trust someone over me, then I don't really need her friendship. We haven't spoken since and I remembered her only after I saw your question. This happened about June 2015, so almost 2 years. I haven't looked back. It's similar to you in the way that he doesn't seem to be putting any effort into your relationship and doesn't seem to care much. I doubt he would care much if you simply do not message him anymore.
