If a guy wants you to teach him something, does that mean he likes you?

So I did this 3 week summer camp about a month ago and I became pretty good friends with this guy. I talked to him occasionally when I was there and now I'm going to the same college with him. He randomly texted me out of nowhere last night (first time I have talked to him since summer) and he asked how I was doing and if I could teach him how to play the piano because I know how to play it. A lot of people are saying that we would look cute together but I only really think of him as a friend. Is he just being super nice or is it something else?

While I can't say he is hot for you, he obviously wants to spend time with you.

Something like this may be a very good opportunity to get to know him in a way that allows you to grow as friends as well as... who knows.
