He comments on my Facebook posts a lot and watches my stories, even though I never start conversations with him and I don’t really interact with him, so why is he paying me attention? He gives me quite a lot more attention than he does with other people. He also gives me career advice and is friendly but I don’t know if he just sees me as a friend or he wants something more? He’s 46 and used to teach me, maybe he’s not making a move because of the age gap and the fact that he was my uni professor? I don’t know. But it’s odd he comments on my posts when other uni professors I have on there don’t do that!

He might like you, and also you might like the attention that he shows you, after all this is common for young women your age to like that also men your age might not show the same amount of attention as older men do in their 40s + but then again I could be wrong in some instance.
Sometimes we don't make a move because there is not enough reason to do so. A lot of women forget that they are always in competition with pure freedom no matter the age. Thus a guy may be really attracted and give you a lot of attention due to how he feels, but because it's not enough he will never make a move.
But he seems a bit nervous around me
He likes you I think but might be too scared to say anything because he might be nervous in case you say no
