What does it mean when a guy gives you his jacket?

My guy friend (crush) and I were with our group of friends and it was really cold. I had three layers but was still shivering and chattering so my guy friend offered me his jacket and let me wear it for the rest of the day.

I did that once for a girl when she literally just had her school uniform on and no jacket when it was cold and raining.
He's being nice and caring or maybe likes you. Most guys probaly wouldn't go out of their way to do that
