Am I too childish for my age?

So I'm sixteen...and I don't have a car. (although I'm in the process of getting my license). I don't have a job. (although I intend on getting one at the start of 2011, I just have too much to do at the moment with sports), I don't have a boyfriend, I've never had one, and never had sex or even been kissed. (and I'm not sure I really care!)

Am I too childish for my age? I worry that I am...

No... you are "inexperienced" but I hate to even say that because half of that stuff you listed is not stuff that you need. You are on the RIGHT PATH for a 16 year old and you should be proud. You don't NEED a boyfriend, or to have sex... Do you watch 16 & Pregnant? Do you see how pathetic those bitches are? Don't be like them lol you don't need a job, just focus on school (I am 19 didn't get my first job until I was about 17 and it was seasonal I don't work now because I choose to focus on college) and I didn't get my license until I was 18, and I got a car then too :) So don't worry. I don't think those experience you listed make you childish, you're just a bit inexperienced in those areas. some one who is childish has egocentric thinking and only focuses on their way of thinking and does not look at the world in differerent perspectives. don't worry, you're an adolescent trying to figure out and get started in the world.You don't need to care about having a boyfriend or sex right now.

I'm 20 and I don't have a car, or my license. And currently I'm jobless until I start school in January, then my job will be being a full-time student. I don't have a boyfriend either. I'm mature and not childish in the least.

Your inexperience will pass in time, no need to rush it.

16 and not having a car or job is sort of the norm. only people with rich parents get cars on their 16th birthday. you're pretty much the norm in every area you mentioned.

(and I feel like it makes me childish because so many people I know already have cars and jobs and boyfriends....and that kind of felt like a childish statement, but I guess since I said "so many" instead of "everybody" it wasn't that bad..)

I'm 19 and I've never been kissed or had sex, don't be in such a rush to grow up...I have friends that's done everything and they regret a lot of their lives...its good to be inexperienced (my opinion)

I'm 16 too and I'm in the same boat is you, except for the kissing, but still I have never made out with anyone. It's kinda nasty when I think about it, lol. Volleyball takes up WAY too much time to ever have a boyfriend ;p So I don't think you are childish, I think you are a good girl with a good head on her shoulders :)
