So I have this cousin who is sort of like my brother, he's two years younger then me but very much grown up, and his best friend is my age (18). anyways, a few years ago he came to visit me and my family over the summer for about four weeks, his best friend came with. I met this friend a year before through mutual friends but we didn't really know each other. over these four weeks though we were all attached to the hip-- the two of them, me and my best friend. I really fell hard for his friend and I thought he was flirty with me too but now I'm not sure. examples of those four weeks: we stayed up way later then anyone else arguing over a blanket, he wanted my blanket so he would steal it and I wouldn't let it go and we ended up tickling each other for it and ended up just sharing it when we finally fell asleep. and I'm freaked out by empty laundry rooms in my apartment, no one would come with me to wash my clothes, so every time I went down to the laundry room he'd come with. one time my cousin was in the next room over, and we randomly threw our arms out in exaggerated slow motion, hugged, and spun around in our hug, but my cousin walked into the room so his friend pushed me on the couch like we were just dorking around and arguing or something. and my mom said he and I were holding hands in our sleep when she woke me up once.
they continued to visit periodically through that next year but he and I were not AS flirty as we once were... but we'd still spend a night sitting up and talking for a few hours after everyone else went to sleep, but on chairs across the living room instead.
well, when they left the word got out that I had a huge crush on him. and whenever my cousin would visit he wouldn't come with. (my cousin and him lived 250 miles away but now my cousin lives 10 miles away from me.)
Over that next summer my family had a huge camp-out weekend and my cousin and I shared a tent and we stayed up talking until one of us fell asleep and I finally admitted to his face I crush on his friend. He said that his friend did like me, that he wouldn't admit it to my cousin, but he could tell that he really liked me-- best friends just know!
i still didn't see him for a while, but he's been back twice this year very randomly. the first time I paid hardly any attention to him at all. and this second time I just now figured out he's in town again when my cousin came into my job today while they were at the mall I work at. I noticed that his friend stares at me a lot. the entire last two visits he has rarely muttered a single word to me, but he stares at me constantly. I don't think others notice much, but whenever I'd glance at him he'd be looking at me too. with an expression that I just cannot read!
