Does Mark Zuckerberg have aspergers?

i saw it recently, and had heard that mark zuckerberg was a tool, that he was detestable, etc. But in the movie, he seemed to be.. not all there.

I do not mean *any* offense with this question, I am legitimently just curious.

For anyone else who's seen it, in the first scene, even, I felt that something was wrong.. I honestly thought that he had aspergers. Ill admit it, I don't know a whole lot about it, but I have a friend who has aspergers; he's really normal, leading a great life, falling in love, etc. He's a sick guy. I've also read a bok, (house rules, by jodi picoult) where the main character has aspergers. I'm really intruiged, but don't want to seem insensitive.

Its also possible that its just the actor that portrays mark zuckerberg does a mediocre job.

But I suppose the true question is..

Does Mark Zuckerberg have Aspergers?

I don't think Mark Zuckerberg has Aspergers, though it has been said the character in the film was written as such. That said, I highly doubt the real Mark Zuckerberg has aspergers as the right side of the brain is neurologically impaired in people with highly functioning autism, which would mean that "big picture" thinking and understanding the social realm would be quite difficult for someone with aspergers and thus, Zuckerberg is clearly someone who understood the broader implications and understanding of creating this software and having his finger on the pulse of social mechanics.

There is some debate about how legitimate the entire movie is. Lots of it was correct, but according to Zuckerburg not all of it is. Also, keep in mind that he can write all kinds of computer codes and HTML and what not, enough to know how to make a webpage. That kind of intelligence makes a person different. I've noticed those with that kind of intelligence can be seen as different or eccentric but its not because they are crazy, their brain just works differently. I wish my brain could work that way!

I agree. If you ask anyone that seems to have a genius in one area, be it math or science or art or anything, they'll say there has been some trade-off. Some don't have the social skills of everyone else, etc. So it could be that he's brilliant in code and programming but lacking in other areas.

Of course, that's also a major description in some forms of autism, so I guess it could be either.

I have yet to see this butchery of a movie, but the actor, Jesse Eisenberg (please note that), is generally a descent actor in my opinion. At least in his early works (i.e. The Squid and the Whale, Roger Dodger). But, since I have not seen the movie a descent analysis would be invalid at this point.

As to your Aspergers question, no one is sure.

From the vagueness of what I've seen, it looks like a poorly constructed film and an inaccurate account. But what do I know?

I really doubt it. I just watched that movie the other day, and I really doubt that is exactly how he is in real life. It is a movie, they have to jazz it up and act so that people will want to watch it. Also I think that actor is just like that. He seemed to have a similar personality/ attitude when I saw him in Adventureland.

I saw the movie and Zuckerburg seems to maybe have Aspergers or maybe he is a tad Autistic.Alanis Morrisette is as well however she is highly functionable. :)
