The guy I've been talking to for weeks, hasn't texted me for days. Should I move on or am I overthinking?

This guy and I started chatting a couple weeks ago and he showed interest in me. He and I talked on the phone for hours, texted through out the day and everything was awesome.

About a week ago, he suddenly stopped responding to my message and wasn't online for hours. I thought maybe he's busy. Then he got online for 3 hours but still no response. I asked him what has happened and why is he suddenly like this and the next day he said "I'm sick". I asked him if he's visited the doctor and he said no. Then I said is there anyone to take care of you? He didn't respond and didn't get online for hours. The days after that, he got online for just some seconds but neither saw my message, nor responded. Tomorrow morning I saw he was online for a few seconds but again no respond and didn't even see my message.

I found this rude and told him that he should've told me if he's dating someone or doesn't want to talk to me anymore instead of ignoring. That way I wouldn't message him anymore.

He hasn't been online and hasn't seen this message.

I'm planning on not responding to him even if he reaches out again; I mean, yes, being sick is bad but he could at least send a short voice message, call, or text and say that he'd contact me when he's fine (if he was REALLY sick and not lying).

Now, I want to ask if I'm overreacting and over-thinking or not? Have you ever been in this situation? What did you do?

Definitely over reacting.

He might have been online for contacting someone important.

I would have given him benefit of the doubt and let him explain. If his explanation is something I would consider not excusable, I would then without any remorse block him.

But you have already reacted badly to it. He will most likely see as huge red flag and decide to stay away from you.

You know, what I'm wondering is if he could at least send me a short message and say "we'll talk later. I'm sick" or "I can't talk". The reason is that there were other times that he didn't respond for a couple days, and I didn't react and waited for him to text back. But this time it's been more than a week, so it seemed quite different.

SUddent and unexpected event could be such demanding that it might need his full attention.

And if I was suspecting someone of "ghosting" me, I would have rather kept my distance.

Nah move on, he's not interested. It's 2020, communication should be easier than ever. Ignoring and not responding because one is too busy or "sick" isn't a valid excuse.
