Sometimes he acts like he likes me but sometimes he doesn't.

Sometimes I look at him and he is staring at me and then he'll look away. Although he doesn't hang around me lot, and he shows the same signs to other girls. Either he likes me and other girls, or he just likes me as a friend. I told him that I liked him at the beginning of summer in June and it is almost November. No answer. Lot of my friends say that he acts like he likes me, but they might just be trying to make me feel better. My friends are really trustworthy but they might be lying to protect my feelings. So I need another side of the story. He won't even tell his friends who he likes, if he does like someone. I don't know how to find out if he likes me. I want to know though because I have felt trapped in the middle of a whole lot of feelings and anxieties for nearly 6 months. If anyone could help me, that would be AMAZING.

He sort of sounds like a player to me. And I think he is "playing" with your heart. By looking at you like that, it did show that he was interested in you. But, then by showing the same signs to other girls, he is doing the same with them. You are definitely a brave girl to tell him how you feel. More people (aka like me!) should have the guts to approach a guy and tell him you like him. Good for you! But, it was definitely wrong on his part. By not answering you, either with a "yes I like you too" or even a "no, I don't think of you in that way" he is playing with your heart and giving you mixed signals. I think that if he hasn't answered you yet, it's either because a) he doesn't know how to make the next move because he likes you too, b) he doesn't have the guts to tell you he doesn't like you in that way, and is afraid to approach you, or c) he forgot (not very likely, but it can happen). I say that you speak to him again. Ask him again and see what he says. if he does the same thing, forget him and move on. If he tells you the truth, then there you go! Good luck with everything!

I would just go up to him and say "What is up with your behaviour? Are you interested or do you just have a staring problem?" If he says he's not interested, just tell him it's kind of creepy.

Or

You can just stare back at him when he stares at you. It would be kind of fun to see what he would do back.

I'm in the same kind of situation. And I have a problem too. But . maybe you should forget about him. And if you don't want to . talk it out.
