I'm not the kind of guy who uses this word often and, when I do, I use it because of the person's mentality, not the way they dress. For example, a single mom with 3 kids from 3 different fathers who fucks random strangers on the first date without any protection. You might argue "Well, it's her life, what's the problem?". For the most part, I would agree except there are kids involves, their education, their well being and these kids matter. Also, not worrying about catching STDs or spraying them like that causes harm to the
general population. That's why it bothers me.

Oh and let's not forget cheaters too. When you are ready to betray someone who has feelings of love for you, I think you deserve being called all the mean words in the world for lacking so much respect, honor and values in general.

That said, if a girl chooses to have one night stands but is mindful about pregnancy or STDs and she is not cheating on anyone, it's fine. I still don't agree with that kind of lifestyle because it's not my thing but, as long as she is not doing any harm, good for her I guess.

I hate the definition of slut cause it is entirely opinionated and open to interpretation, seriously look it up in one short aemtan e long definition every word is an opinion. Like "a woman who sleeps with many men" so what the girl that fucks the same guy every 3 times a day every single day, is just much better that the girl who sleeps with 1 new guy a momth once a month? Also "woman" is in the deff so that's sexiest and means you just have to identify as male then by deff you can't be a slut even if you fuck literally ever guy you ever meet.

I love that slut shaming culture is actually ending because I remember in 2011 when I was 11 years old there was a girl named Amanda Todd (I believe she was 15) that had killed herself because her nudes or something had leaked and she was pretty much the joke of the Internet everywhere and I remember myself engaging in that culture and not even realizing what I was doing at such a young age you know? I would never wish a culture that allows women to feel like they’ve “made a mistake” or disgusted with themselves enough to kill themselves or even consider doing so for engaging in sex.
I love that where in a time where women can find support and have other women and men even tell them that this idea of them being a “slut” for sex is nothing more Than a word that was made to hurt and shame us to be able to control the way we perceive life and they way we navigate it. That’s abuse and I’m glad we can let those ideas go so much more easily now because there’s an actual genuine understanding from everybody not just women anymore and that’s beautiful to me as well.

I slut shame men and woman i don't decriminate... I use to look down on women for wearing clothes that show too much because my mother is old fashioned and i seen her do that all my life. When I saw men talk badly about women who sleep around and then realise they themselves slept around... I thought to myself they are hypocrites it got on my nerves. I now dont want to judge people because of how they dress or if they sleep around, but I always have this sad feeling when I see a girl dress like that because I believe woman have more to offer than their bodies. I also think she is adult and I ain't her mother, so I just dont care. Now if you are younger than 18 thats messed up... don't be showing your body like that unless you are a adult

If I would do that, she would be damn right to call me out in front of everyone. It's a word you simply don't use to describe a woman and especially not straight to the face because it's so derogatory. Even if her clothes are extremely revealing, she is promiscuous, or a cheater, I don't see any way to justify that word. We don't call guys who cheat or who are promiscuous by such names. I think it's respectless to call a woman a slut.

There might always be reasons for the behaviour of a person, and people have different moral standards. It's not right to a derogatory term as 'slut'.

The usual reason for wearing what they do is flat out weather related a lotta time, and is more so practical, not to try to attract anyone. While i was growing up, i never had a chance to see women walking half naked and there were no slutish reality shows on tv...
Last few years it's normal to see women walking down the street with half of their butts visible, half of their boobs visible, and whole belly.

My friends and I were on a road trip to some social event in this van, and of course to pass the time, we were trying to imagine the backstory and origin of this comment, assuming placed there by a previous renter, and the role the van played in that story. At one point we almost drove off the road, as we were laughing so hard at what we imagined had to be a verbal exchange at some point:

We should be moving to a place where the word "slut" isn't a derogatory term anymore, but instead just factually describes a characteristic of somebody. It merely states or acknowledges that they have had many casual sexual partners, without any insinuation that this is wrong or should be avoided. Take the word "derogatory" out it's dictionary definition. Just like the LGBTQ community has reclaimed the word "queer", women could be empowered by reclaiming the word "slut" as it would remove a possible insult with which to hurt, belittle or otherwise control them. Both men and women need educating that their clothing choices don't influence such charictaristics.

I've actually called women out on this shit before them dressing like sluts or not dressing appropriately for the occasion and when I had an ex friend of mine try to debate me on certain scenarios she couldn't and immediately stood quiet and backed down. For example would you wear a bikini in a church or would you wear a bikini when reporting the news on nationwide tv. or would you wear jogging pants and a sweatshirt to a wedding or a prom? It's called dressing appropriately for the occasion. Or when women have had a high double digit amount of sexual partners then yes she will be called out on it. Unless a woman is wearing something radically inappropriate for the situation (a nightclub dress to a baptism, or a rave outfit for a job interview [that wasn't a rave]), it's not very likely I'd describe her as a slut even if she asked my opinion. I just don't see a lot of benefit in being offensive to people unless the situation is quite extreme, and I generally avoid such situations when I can anyway.
