My boyfriend never wants to call me and always makes me ask and then wait before he will call. And will go weeks without calling. Is this right?

My boyfriend hates calling. When we met, he'd say things like "I normally hate calling people but with you I could talk otp all day." But now, only 3 months later, he won't call for weeks, gets mad when I ASK to call, and will say to wait till after his movie is over. I understand he doesn't like calling but that should not involve our relationship. He knows its important to me but it doesn't change anything. I told him I'd stop asking if he would just call me occasionally but he says he can't do that bc he doesn't know if I'm busy even tho he could just simply ask me, OR I could just ask him to call me back in a minute. I know this isn't right but am I the only one? Is it worth it to deal with it?

Thank you so much! I know the conversation is gonna suck but I've been laying in bed for 20 minutes now thinking of what to say to him about it. He lives alone so its much easier to sit him down to talk. I have asked him before why he doesn't like calling and he said he can't help what he does or doesn't like. I know he hates talking about his feelings bc his exes always shamed him for it but its been long enough and for me, its to the point where he needs to open up now or watch me leave. i say go to a coffe shop. and discuss it, like tim hortons, and sit down in a quit corrner, this way both of you can camly discuss the matter in a safe inverment, but thats just an idea, i think siting down at home is better tho. and its better if you go to his, then yours, so you can easly leave quickly and not hassle with saying get out.

Or may be he really don't like to talk on phone...
So try to talk with him in person, meet him, do some online chatting...
Try everything other then calling...
And if he don't like to call you can call him... Its not necessary that he should call you always...
But make sure he is also excited to talk to you... You guys still have something in you...

We do spend lots of time together but sometimes it's hard bc he lives an hour away and neither of us have the money to make that drive all the time. Not to mention the both of us are an hour from any place fun so thats a 2 hour drive if we want to go anywhere. When we are together he's amazing but its just when he's away that its not so cool.

I really hate talking on the phone for more than a few minutes to have a quick conversation and I prefer to text and will text all day, but I tell my girlfriends that directly instead of pretending to like long phone calls to make them happy.
