Why does he initiate contact but then leaves me on read?

This guy is generally a nice person. Just in recent times his actions have been confusing me. I don’t know if he’s behaving hot and cold and for what?

He would sometimes message first and the conversation would be going pretty well, then he just reads the last message that I send and not respond. The conversation isn’t even dry when he does it.

I just stop talking when I feel like I'm going through the motions.

I don't really enjoy speaking over text, so tbh, I do stop responding a lot probably when I shouldn't.

Having said that, if he likes you, then one should imagine that he would endeavour to reply in a timely fashion.

He does call often to be fair and our conversations are usually great (comparing convos over text)

it is really depend on how the conversation , if it is like "job interview chat" ( he asked question and you answer , nothing else) then he probably run out of topic to talk
