Why would he be so forward and keen to talk to me, and then just completely go cold on me?

So I added this guy on social media because we had a few mutual friends. He sent me a message straight away, asking if I'd be interested in coming up to visit him, and saying that we should connect via a face time call soon. I ignored his initial messages because I found them very forward and then a week later, he messaged me with a job vacancy, asking me if I'd be interested in applying. I got back to him and said I'd be interested in the job, and if he would help me with my CV, and then he told me he'd need to speak to me over the phone to discuss the CV. So I spoke to him on the phone, and then he started talking about other topics, like the gym, and exercise and it felt like he was trying to get to know me.

Then I agreed to visit him, and we had been speaking for weeks, he seemed so keen and asked me if I wanted to visit him any earlier. We had a video call and it seemed to go really well. He was complimenting all my photos, and sending me messages all day saying what we would do together, and the places we would visit. Then, randomly out of the blue, he went completely cold, and then changed the nature of our conversation to a professional way, and sent me another job suggestion.

Since then, I've not heard back from him, and he has gone completely silent, and I'm feeling so insecure that I've put him off in some way. It feels like really bizarre behaviour, and I can't get my head around any of it. No one has ever acted that keen in me to begin with, only to completely shut off and go cold on me.

What is his issue?

It feels like bizarre behavior because it IS bizarre behavior - more like bi-polar behavior. It may not seem like it right now, but this is actually a good thing to find out early.
* If he IS bi-polar, that's something you needed to know.
* If he's not bi-polar and this is how he behaves, that's also something you needed to know

If he isn't bi-polar, he most likely found someone else locally who is right there, to replace you as a person of interest. Whatever his issue, it doesn't really matter because you shouldn't want any part of this guy. Be thankful, actually !!!

That sort of thing happens all the time. It’s nothing you did.

It sounds like he might have found someone else tbh. Nothing you did, it’s something that happened on his part. I would just move on, but if you’re really curious about what happened, there’s no harm in just asking him. If that’s what you want to do then don’t be confrontational about it, just ask him “hey it’s been awhile. What’s up?” If he doesn’t answer, then just let him be.

He Is not that serious after all you can't worry about people like that you have to move forward
