My boyfriend completely ignores me and prefer playing videogames?

we’ve been together for a year and a half. He completely ignores me while playing videogames and he doesn’t even see my messages. He even turned off his phone and was gone for like 7 hours just to play videogames. Now this time I sent him a message and he didn’t even see it.
I know he likes videogames and have fun but why he can’t even reply to a text for 7 hours? he doesn’t stop playing for a bit? This makes me wonder if I’m less worthy than a videogame or I don't know. Is it too much effort to reply to a message? I even called him but literally turns off his phone and didn’t even care what happens to me.
When I tell him this attitude bothers me he says I’m “way too clingy” but I don’t think I’m clingy? I just want my text and calls replied after 7 hours straight.

After a year and a half, he should have a better idea of the level of contact and interactivity you want from him. Ordinarily I'd say turning off your phone before you do something you're going to be intently focusing on for a while is a good thing, especially if you're doing it with other people who rely on you, but if he's going to be unavailable for a long time during which you'd like to hear from him, he should at least let you know.

If this is something he does on a regular basis, it'd be perfectly reasonable to ask him to set aside a specific time for talking with you (when, exactly, to be hammered between you); that way, you know when you'll be able to reach him and when you might not.

I'm a gamer but if I ever had a girlfriend I would spend time with her then playing video games but if I spend too much time with her then she'll probably let me spend time either gaming or doing carpentry. Also I like doing carpentry more then gaming because during my carpentry time I could build something special for my girlfriend. Like a small jewelry box or something.

Unless he gets paid to play video games, this is the type of guys you want to avoid like the plague. Most of them live at home with mommy and daddy. They work a crappy part-time job if any. Their mom does their laundry and still cooks them dinner. They have no goals in life. Ask them anything though and they will tell you they’re literally the smartest people on the planet. They tend to have gigantic egos too. I’d dump him if I were you.
