Guys, Why do you do this?

There is this guy that I still like and he is looking at me from afar. He never looks at me if I'm nearby. I'm too nervous to talk to him again. We talked years ago and I couldn't hold a conversation 😩. I'm afraid of doing that again and I thought he kind of disliked me for other reasons. He has been acting strange lately too. What should I do?

What kind of reasons? Strange how?

I was 19 and stupid at the time. I was shyer back then and never had a boyfriend. So I didn't know how to control my feelings and kinda broke his heart because he liked me at the time. I kinda avoided him. One time he brought his guy friends around a one tried getting with me. He asked me for my number I gave it to him. I only did it because I wanted to get closer to the guy that I liked not this guy. But I blocked his friend after a week because he was a fboy. I wasn't trying to hurt him at all and I didn't do anything with his friend. I know I'm such an evil person. I don't know know but the guy that I like brings the awkwardness out of me. he accepted my apology after I wrote him a letter saying how sorry I was. My awkwardness is still here every since. He had a girlfriend but it looks like they broke up. I was on a dating site and I see him on there now.
