Why won’t he delete my number?

Hey guys so recently a guy asked for my number and we spoke for a bit but he started to leave me on seen... so I understood he did not want to keep in touch and did not bother seeing the last text I sent.

The last text I sent was about him being a nice guy but I couldn’t see things progressing thus if he wanted to stay friends that was fine if not I wished him good health.

However he watches all my stories everyday which means he still has my number. Why does he do this?

Yesterday he put up a post about: I love everything about you except your absence.

Yet today he watched all my stories again, yet I had put up a post about getting votes on the best iPhone colour this year, hoping he would see it as a opportunity to text back. Again he didn’t.
So why keep my number?

He did say he’s not much of a texter, but he’s always online. My friend thinks I pushed him away and my last text can be interpreted as rejection, another thinks he wants to be friends. And my guy friend thinks he’s playing mind games, I shouldn’t listen to my other friends suggestions of texting him again and to block him.

I’m confused now, why is he doing this, what does he want.

I don’t think the quote was for me... but why does he keep my number saved?

I ended up deleting his number but he still has mine saved... why doesn’t he delete it? He obviously knows I’ve deleted his as he cannot see my stories.

I got confused halfway through. In what way your message is not a rejection?

I mean, for me it really comes across as that, a relationship rejection. Of course, you mentioned wanting to still be friends, but that phrase is so common in rejections that at this point is practically a meme. So, he may not really believe you still want to be friends.

About the texting part, it may be due to various reasons. It's difficult to say without seeing the actual messages. One of you may be the type of person that gives one word answers, or the other is the type to just answer and never ask questions, etc. It could br anything.

So, why does he still have your number? He probably still wants to be your boyfriend and it's hard for him to let go. He may not know you still want to be friends, so he doesn't bother texting you. This would be my guess.

Blah blah blah you already posted this before. If it's such a big deal to you then block him. Guess that isn't dramatic enough.
