I feel bad about that but at work when bosses praise my work or work ethic i am so mortified that sometimes i can say thank you. I put my heart into my work even though its retail and manual labor its not some magnum opus type thing. Its one of the most basic jobs a person in America can do.
But i appreciate the praise i just am also very embarassed by it and want to melt away and hide.
Maybe because i know that my ego can get too big and being praised is not good for me?

Another thing is im very shy and getting attention bothers me. I often think everyone is staring at me anyway.

Hmm some do and others won’t mind. I would work on just speaking up for yourself when you have time. Just practice scenarios in the mirror such as someone like your boss is walking by and says to you “ hey , you’re doing pretty good work!”
Practice saying “ thanks , I appreciate it!” in the mirror as if it’s a scene in a movie.

That's anxiety. I have it myself. I was always so shy around people to the point I rarely ever went out. But working a full time job has helped me get confidence. I'm not as shy anymore. But still can be depending on the situation.
I do like shy girls. They appeal to me more than the loud mouths.

Thats very good. I am neurodiverse according to online test too, and always been shy, and have avoided humans for a long time but had to get a regular job and i am not as shy anymore but still am not a normal person at all.

@Remnaourei2 Why be normal? That's boring. I like being different. I'm on meds for my anxiety and depression. It helps take the edge off and keeps me calm.
