Why is my new guy friend starting to like me?

I've been hanging out with my brothers friend to show me around the city I'm living in. But I'm starting to notice he's getting awkward around me and staring at me

Yeah, as much as guys or girls like to pretend that they can just be friends with someone they are attracted to it just doesn't happen very often. If guy or girl meets someone they totally like hanging out with then they tend to start to think about wanting more... friends or not.

So to answer your question as to why your friend is starting to like you... well brothers friend or not you are a grown women and he is a grown man. Grown women and men tend to starting thinking or wanting grown up relationships with people they think are totally fun and attractive.
