I think most guys are ok with that plan. What are you doing about the friends part? Start to hang out together more and openly communicate a lot. How old is he? I'm sure he wants to date and have sex (all guys do) and I'm sure he is probably masturbating a lot.. maybe thinking of you. All guys do it frequently but most will never admit it. What are your thoughts?

He is still romantically interested and will have a hard time just being friends because he is into you. I would make clear that you might just want to be friends and not romantically involved if that is your intention.

Me personally probably not. I would say most people that were initially romantically interested won't be able to handle just being friends though.
