Firstly roommates or flatmates lol. Very different.. but to answer your question. Stereotypically (not all guys) may like female ones as perhaps it may lead to something more or a fantasy too who knows. Girls on the other hand might feel more comfortable with other girls such as girls’ nights in and walking in underwear around the room/ house without a guy seeing her half naked etc.


If it were me however I wouldn’t mind guy flatmates at all. Roommate probably not so much but then again wouldn’t want to share the room with anyone except SO

There’s one app called ‘spare room’ which is for flatmates but not sure if you have it where you live. Found a few old flatmates there and not dodgy either I’d recommend

one of them he almost disliked and the other one was eleven years younger than him.
in germany living arrangements with both sexes are completely normal. there is a social contract to not make a move on your flatmates exactly like the one to not make a move on work colleagues. generally people won't breach it, i'm sure there are some weirdos who do, but they're not the norm.
