Not weird at all. When I was 18, I dated a 28 year old and it was great. Now my wife is 11 years younger than me and we've been together for 16 years now. So don't worry about what other people say.

Age is only a number. But for a serious relationship. The woman usually lives longer than man. If retirement is around when you are ready to retire. He will have possibly been retired long before you.

Statistically speaking any age gap over 9 years, the success rate drops tremendously.
