Why would a guy save in our chat every compliment I give him?

on Snapchat he doesn’t save messages only when I compliment him or if I send a sexy photo. he isn’t my boyfriend or anything serious just a friends with benefits but he knows I like him.

Most guys get complimented very, very rarely. I’m talking once every couple of years. Yes. This is sadly very common.

I literally keep gifts or Valentine’s Day mementos from women I haven’t even seen for years and years just to remind myself at one time a woman actually liked me. It’s proof to myself that someone saw something they liked in me once upon a time. Will it ever happen again? I’m doubtful. But I have memories.
