What does this mean, that my boyfriend does this?

My boyfriend and I been together for three years and I have trust issues that caused lots of problems in the beginning of our relationship. He hasn’t done anything to make me distrust him, but I have this feeling to always doubt him and what he says even though he tells me the truth from what I know. He stuck around even though it was rough and toxic. He’s not a man of words but last night he said “ I put years of trust building and it hasn’t done much, I’m not gonna leave you, your un-replaceable” even with those sweet words and I know he loves me why can’t I help but feel he might lie about working Saturday or any little thing. I’m feeling untrustworthy and I know it’s wrong. How can I overcome this? He’s a good man but I’m scared to give myself to him completely without feeling scared
