How to make friends with boys in high school and avoid getting teased for wanting to talk to them?

Im 14 and I’m going into my freshman year (had to put at least 18 to sign up but guidelines say over 13.) I know no one at my new school and I want to make a good group of friends, including some guys since my old friends would make fun of me for not getting along with their guy friends (despite them being mean to me) and not having any of my own. I tend to like talking to really smart studious boys but they tend to be pretty introverted (I’m an extrovert) How do I make friends with guys and talk to boys at school without being made fun of?

I know the struggle; my high school is large and only like four classmates from my middle school are in my classes. There's one girl in my biology class that sits next to me and one that sits with me sometimes on the bus, I'm just more of a listener. A couple more people from my middle school too.

If you want a male friend, just sit by someone often when the school bus overfills and there's no empty rows eventually the person will start get attracted to you if they don't have a girlfriend of course. Thats how I admire one person that sits with me sometimes when there's no empty rows.

Also just being classmates in general at the same group lab table at biology, I like studious girls as well like the one that sits next to me in biology. If you want to do without being embarrassed learn the person first and if they have anything common with them, try build trust with them and sit next to each other at Biology class experiment tables or any class next too.
