Is the reason he’s nasty to me because he’s gotten a promotion?

He instantly told me and seemed nice and good about it.

Later on I asked a question which he asks me and he went mental calling me names and being horrible.

The last month he’s been very nice to me and seems way more affectionate and saying he loves me more

The few months before he was being twisted and horrible and he’d gotten a new job

Is that why he changes?
Would he have always snapped at me if I didn’t ask a question would it have been if I had done nothing?

Maybe the stress of the new role is getting to him. Or maybe he's realized the job isn't what he thought it would be and is secretly unhappy

There's always an underlying reason for peoples change in behavior or attitude. Considering he's only changed since he's been promoted, I'd place my bets on the new job role is affecting him in a negative way
