My cousin is angry at me because our grandma is coming to see me?

I live in New England originally from the west coast. I try to fly back to visit my family 1-2 times a year- they have never come to me due to some understandable reasons so I never complained. I was due to fly back in July of this year when a few days ago I found out I was accepted into a doctoral program so obviously I had to cancel my travel plans because of my start date.

Fortunately my family is now in a space where they can come and see me and my grandmother had decided to come as well unbeknownst to me. Shortly after they booked their tickets to come in June I receive a string of nasty messages from my cousin calling me every name in the book and for being selfish because I “made” our grandmother feel that she should come when I literally had no idea until after her ticket was booked, which I made the point of trying to explain. My cousin then proceeded to tell me that because she’s pregnant and is due around the time my family is coming to visit that our grandma should be spending time with her new great grandchild and that just because I’m smart doesn’t mean I’m special.

These messages really upset me and now I feel like I did something wrong. Should I have them reschedule or cancel the trip? I feel guilty but truly had no idea of our grandmas intentions.
