Getting close to someone because I have a fear of losing them. I'm working on my issue, caused by my dads passing. It's deep, and its just hurting me in the long run

Oh yeah I understand, well you learn while you go through life and next time, what helps me, is that I immediately tell the other person what is going on in me and explain how I feel and why and what I need (mostly I need more time and a slower approach to things, whatever it is for you tho). Anyways it's definitely more helpful to just be open and brav to be vulnerable and yeah try to work through it.
Maybe also take your time for yourself to grief and well get a little better first
