A physical connection is debatable but an emotional connection? You shouldn't have to ask this question, lol.

If he is being honest with you (and isn't some type of druggy or emotional user), then he is literally saying he wants to be with you for more than one night. He wants to connect with you, meaning he wants to grow with you and experience life with you.

Again, this is based on IF he is being honest. I can't help you with the honesty part but if I personally told a woman that same thing, it would mean I'm thinking about marriage and want to see if we "mesh" together.

I mean I think he’s serious about the emotional physical connection cause we know we both like each other. He can’t be in a relationship rn though wouldn’t be healthy for him he’s out of rehab and currently in AA meetings and getting back into reality

Mention that to him and mention that you are willing to be supportive of him (If you actually want to be). Tell him that you are rooting for him and you are always an arms length away.

If you want to be in a relationship with this guy, tell him that healing comes first and then we can start thinking about a relationship. Be there when he needs to talk by text but also be aware that you have to keep your own guard up if he is in AA meetings.

He also might "snap" a lot more at people, so don't take it to heart. That is the addiction rearing it's last attempt to enrage him and draw him back. It don't mean become an abuse target, but be prepared to shoot down any insults or anger he might display with kindness and forgiveness (if that even happens).

I’ve been rooting and telling him in the past to take rehab and telling how strong he is and how I’m so happy for him

Well it sounds to me like he wants you to be his soul mate. This is really good news as usually relationships between a man and women like this are very initmate, some of the most loving, sentimental and caring relationships possible. You should cherish every moment and follow your heart.

Well because when you love someone deeply you want to spend your life with them, so people that love this way will want to become very close to you. Closer than any friend, they want to be family with you. Its very normal human behaviour to want these things.
