Is it normal for a man in his 40s to talk to or see his mother every single day?

He talks about her every day and also visits her EVERY day. She's in her 80s although her health is very good.

If you were 80 years old and lonely, how would you feel if you gave a huge chunk of your life into raising/investing everything into your child and they just ghosted you when they became an adult.

You said visits mother and not father, so is the father passsed away? If the father is passed away, can you imagine how sad this woman is and how much her son showing up everyday brings some life to her day?

Besides, if a guy is that loyal in a relationship with somebody he is not legally obligated to be with, then how much more loyal would he be with somebody he is married to? Do you want a guy that would visit you if you became sick with cancer or some other terrible sickness? This dude would be there every day for you is what it sounds like...

So to answer your question: Is it normal? It is normal for people raised in a healthy family, but not normal for kids raised in abusive/chaotic families.

It depends. My mom is 79. My father has already passed away so there's that. But I probably do see my mother a lot now because while she might live to be 100 your odds decrease significantly in your 8th decade and so on, of life. That and she's always been a real go getter. Her spirit is still strong but she has really slowed a lot in the past couple of years. Thar concerns me.
