He sent me some cash (It's quite a lot of money) to keep for a charity event but my friend introduced me to a ponzi scheme she was benefiting from and I wanted to double the money for myself so I joined. Now the owners of the scheme have run away. He will be back soon and I'm scared because of the cash. What can I expect?
Just honestly tell him. Better to know from you than from anyone else. That way, he at least will trust you, overall. If not with his money.
Pull through your contacts. And his contacts too. Find for any helpful contact out there.
And be more alert about such schemes. There is not easy shortcut to money making.
You see stock traders earning ton of money just by sitting around. They are not. Years of experience and knowledge is backing them. Investors making money? Their patience is the price they paid for that profit.
Just be honest with him, thst's all. I would have forgiven my girlfriend for sure. Only she had to work to earn the money to give back.
She would be lucky I would not impose interest of any kind on the money given.
Adjustable. Anything is. Money is not.

depends what the $ was for and how much. Financial trust is damaged, but if lessons are learned, then it's a cheap investment in the future that could save you millions. that makes you richer! mind tricks...
The valuable part of this is why you did that, learning about yourself... addressing your flaws so you make better decisions.
I've blown lots of $ making dumb decisions. So has most people... some have gone totally broke. count your blessings...

I know people on a larger scale that suffering through this kind of scheme with crypto currency. It was their money though. If you have any friends in policing or law, at any level, you may want to consult them for advisement?
Ask an attorney but I imagine you will have to prove that it was actually lost in that scheme and not stolen by friend or you. I’m not a professional attorney or law enforcement but is a reasonable guess when dealing with money?
You're 35 ... you should know that Ponzi schemes never work. The thing to do now is to fess up to him what you did and find a way to pay him back... and make a separate donation to the charity event.
Hopefully, this is a lesson learned for you... when someone entrusts you with something, you take superb care of it.
He trusted you and you violated his trust for your own selfish reasons. Why would he ever trust you again?
You should be fine. If he has that much cash to give away to charity, he won’t be poor from losing that much money. Just don’t give away his money next time.
Not good if you broke the law. Speak to your local detectives and ask if you did something wrong.
Money for a charity event? That is a complete violation of a trust and I'd dump her instantly.

You can't be serious. You have to be trolling.
