Why do girls have a problem with me when I show off some masculinity?

I'm not the most unattractive guy or $$$$ but I do have a reputation of being very self reliant, over confident,& very stoic

I lift heavy weight & in great shape & I've noticed that when i strut or brag about my weight lifting

Most gals are either very annoyed &/or simply turned off but when a better looking guy gets a pass for bragging & talking "hard"

Lol how old are you, 8? That's when I learned that bragging isn't the way to go. It's the opposite of being self reliant, confident and stoic.

I bragged somewhat on purpose to gauge their reaction & oh man... I wasn't well respected afterwards

Yeah bragging isn't attractive... wheather it be about your masculinity, money, materials straight up sounds self obsessed, cocky, materialistic and narcissistic. Being humble is far more attractive to women.
