Like during a breakup or other things girls cry about?
3.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Yup.
I've had a broken heart that is still so bad that, 31 years later, I sometimes cry about my life and what was stolen from me. Sometimes, that crying is on the inside. Sometimes, it's during dreams/nightmares. But mostly now, it is a silent scream that has transformed into unfathomable bitterness. Part of my solace and retaining my humanity is being here to help people so they don't suffer like I have done and will do for the rest of my life which, if God had any mercy, will end soon enough instead of letting be a Paul Edgecomb of pain.10 Reply

+1 yMen cry obviously were humans and we have emotions too. Some men are scared to show emotions.
Which I get sharing emotions is a intimate thing. There is a excess to crying. I agree. But yes10 Reply
+1 yYes, most do.
they may not in front of you.
they will if you are very close. They have just as much feelings and they want to show it…but have been taught not to.one guy when he broke up with me, he turned and cried.
my ex husband cried plenty.
my other girlfriend. told me, he then boyfriend.. before they got married, cried worry he may lose her.14 Reply- +1 y
@midnightmoon05. Gee your ex boyfriend and ex husband cried in front of you, and men wonder they they shouldn't cry in front of women.

@KrakenAttackin My ex. boyfriend. we dated 6 months and he recognized he was not ready to commit after breaking up from a prior fience. He didn't cry in front of me. When he walked away, he had tears.
My ex. husband, yes, he cried plenty with me.
I do think, men who are very connected/committed as two in one with their spouse and can/will open up their most vulernability as a real man.
Not that the rest are not real men. Those who wouldn't (they do in their private time), has to do with being put down by (since they were kids) others to not cry. sure... please don't just cry... but cry with your beloved wife under the right circumstance.
I do feel very sad when I know men have so much feelings, but have to bury it and deal with it on their own because they were taught to not have those feelings. - +1 y
**throwing bullshit card**. Women detest men who show emotions, especially any emotion that shows weakness or vulnerability.
- +1 y
@KrakenAttackin agree when in public. I can’t imagine any men cry like that.
In private, healthy partners who have trust, love, respect…would go through life with ups and downs. Some hid, tear up. Some can cry with their wife.
+1 yHonestly I’ve seen one of my really close guy friends cry. It was about a loss of his child, which I get, he was really drunk when he did it and we were at the bar.

Sometimes... it happens more than crying in public.
30 ReplyI would say, yes. My favourite place to let it out if I need to, is my bathroom in the shower. So nobody can hear me crying.
Its difficult for me to cry in front of people. I often present myself as a confident person with a strong character. I fear judgement for crying in public.
What's weird is, I am very emotionally expressive. I have no qualms pouring out to my friends or family. I just cannot allow myself to cry.10 ReplyEveryone cries it’s a natural response and that’s the normal weather you are a make or female. There are exceptions though and again can be a boy or a girl sociopaths that lack empathy and compassion they don’t feel the need to cry although they can do it whenever they need hence the alligator tears.

+1 yI won’t cry when I’m near anyone, yes I do get glassy eyed and want to but I just cough and make out like nothings happening, if I really need to cry I’ll go away somewhere have a good bawl and come back, I usually do a lot of my crying alone in bed.
10 ReplyUsually in private but sometimes in the presence of my wife, although she doesn’t always notice. Crying, for me is almost always the result of someone touching my heart. Not sadness tears. Breaking up has never made me cry.
10 Reply354 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Most often that is true. There's still a lot of stigma around men showing emotional vulnerability and a lot of men and conditioned from childhood to not show emotions to others.
So lost guys tend to only cry when alone.10 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI think even girls cry more in private, after all I think the majority of people don't want to be seen crying
Anyway personally i cry only when I am alone (i can't remember the last time someone has seen me crying), but even alone I try not to and inteast focus on finding a solution or a way to find peace to what makes me cry

+1 yYup, but not necessarily about the same things females cry about.

What do you cry about?
- +1 y
The thing about holding it in is when it finally comes out, it’s not really about the trigger. It might be a movie or show that opens the gate, but what comes out is a buildup of everything i have to withhold from day to day. If i’m crying, i’m crying about nothing and everything all at once.

10 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. We try very hard not to do it in public unless it is at a funeral for someone close in which case we will try to make ourselves cry, but it happens.
10 Reply3.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. The last time I cried I went in the bathroom. Nobody saw me.

I'm seeing all these guys saying yes. Wtf? How? Over a woman? So weird.
Asker+1 yWhy not? I’ve cried over men.
- +1 y
But you're a woman. y'all cry just to cry, so of course you would cry about a man, and literally everything else. It's really fucking weird to me a man crying over a woman.
Asker+1 yI’m actually not much of a crier. I only cry if something really cuts deep. Otherwise, I just can’t. I tend to bury profound grief and have nightmares instead.
- +1 y
Hmm ok. But men aren't women so that's weird a man would be like that.
+1 yUnfortunately, many men still do hide it.
