He unsent his DM, should I text him first?

A guy sent me a DM a while back and then unsent it before I was able to respond (or even see it!). I could only see the start of the message and it was saying "I'mma shoot my shot and..." So I assume he wanted us to get acquainted but then maybe changed his mind when I didn't respond immediately (it was a working day, he waited for like 3 or 4 hrs only)

We haven't interacted since then, but I think he's okay and he just posted a story about something I'm also interested in. Should I just start a conversation and act as the message he unsent never happened or would that be weird?

Why not give it a casual response as he obviously went panic mode after sending it. Reassurance that he is not a loser-freak would probably be welcomed by him. I would call it a very sweet gesture by you to take your time and do such a thing. Hopefully, he is smart enough to realize how kind you are.

Just be like hey I saw a message you sent and I was busy I couldn't respond but would you like to get coffee? I mean it sounds like he is def interested in you by the start on the message about shooting his shot
