Yes I know "not all men" are like this but a lot of y'all seem to have hate towards women/constantly are objectifying them.

I'm wondering like where does this hate actually come from/why do y'all do it? Is it just in mens nature to be like this, possibly taught through generations, do y'all have self hate that you push onto women? Like what exactly is the cause for this hate.

And also this not a attack on men, or me trying to be a feminist. Really just looking for the root cause of this to prevent raising the next generation of men in this way if it's possible. I have 4 sons and always worried about them turning into men like this

I don´t think it´s taught nor do I think it´s hate or at least not in all cases. I would say the issue is that many guys are natural aggressive towards each other because being aggressive is a guy´s way of signaling another guy: You can´t walk over me. I´m not a doormat. A guy that shows weak spots is more likely bullied and playing with by the others.
Guys objectify women because they turn their behavior that works with other guys towards women or they do so because they don´t have a healthy relationship to women.
I think what people to miss out is that I would say in principle a naked woman is enough to turn a guy on and give him an erection. I say in principle because the brain gets used to the sight over time and gets less turned on every time. But because modern society at least in the West heavily influenced by sexual aspects it´s tempting for guys to reduce a girl to her body especially in the summer when a lot of women wear less and many guys are driven crazy by that.
Like I know guys that go to the pool in the summer only in the early mornings because otherwise they´d be constantly turned on otherwise.
I think what you could do is mainly two things: 1. Help them find good relative rolemodels in their life they could follow and also ask for help if necessary. Because I would argue that most mentally healthy guys have either dads, uncles or other men they looked up to, hold them accountable and gave them rolemodel to follow. I personally respected by dad than my mum because I knew that messing with my father meant more trouble.
2. Help them understand a woman´s perspective on the world are and what she needs a man to do and understand. I don´t know about the US but I live in a world where I see a slight segregation between girls and many boys not because anyone orders things like that but because many guys have different hobbies than girls do. That way about 50% or even a minority guys grow up interacting with girls outside of school. That becomes a problem since guys then start to develop their picture of women and how guys are supposed to treat women from the online world, porn included.
Both aspects are equally important since they help to develop a guy´s character.

Have you SEEN the Instagram and TikTok accounts (not to mention the OnlyFans) accounts of WOMEN today? Are men holding guns to these women's heads to make them post pics of their tits and ass all day long... or are those women objectifying themselves, because they enjoy the attention they receive? Certainly not ALL women go so far out of their way to objectify themselves, but a LARGE percentage of women do. Proof of this abounds.

It's no secret that men and women are different, and that one of those differences is that men and women have VERY different reproductive strategies. Women seek the best single man to father her children and to protect and provide for her and her children, while men seek to impregnate as many women as possible to increase the likelihood that at least some of his children survive. These are VERY different solutions to the same problem, but they each match our different biological realities. Women can only get pregnant about once a year, while a man could potentially impregnate a different woman every single day of the year, if not more. Of COURSE we see sex and relationships differently - how could we not? And neither view is "right" or "wrong" - they're just different.

This does mean that single men are going to tend to be looking for sex anywhere they can find it, and THAT means that women can get male attention (and by extension, validation and favors/free labor) by enticing men with their bodies. I'd argue that this dynamic proves that it is WOMEN who are objectifying themselves (setting aside the small percentage who might be being forced to do so) in order to gain male attention, rather than men objectifying women. I could take an hour or two and pretty easily collect 1000 links of IG pages where girls are purposely posting their bodies in VERY revealing clothes and poses clearly to get male attention - and some female attention too - isn't that an example of women objectifying themselves? And if not, explain how it isn't?

Yes, of course there are guys who are assholes, who DO objectify women who clearly aren't seeking such attention, but those guys are very much the exception, not the rule - it's just far easier to remember those few guys than all of the other guys who walked right past you without incident.

Well its a loaded question that presupposes men are overwhelmingly guilty of hating / objectifying women. So yeah, it kinda comes off as an attack on men. Even the way you put "not all men" in quotes makes it seem like you want to distance yourself from this perfectly truthful statement. I don't know the exact ratio of mysoginistic men versus the rest of us, but I don't believe women-haters make up any sort of majority. The men I associate with are those who value women as equals (not the "same", but "equal"), and want only to look after their daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, female friends, and so on. I'd count myself among their ranks. I do have higher than average levels of empathy, so seeing a woman OR a man in distress makes me feel distressed too, and want to help them so their distress goes away. Perhaps the men who DO "hate women" (by whatever metric you define this characteristic) are among those who have lower overall levels of empathy, and so they may interpret a woman's distress as less important than their own self-serving needs?

But I can only speculate.

Certainly there are some men who have an added level of ambivalence that's proactively directed at women, on top of the aforementioned low empathy levels.

(Having low empathy doesn't automatically make a person "bad" -- it just shapes their perceptions into a worldview that deprioritises other people's internal experiences, and prioritises the 'self' above that of 'the others'.)

I imagine low empathy is more "nature", whereas actually hating women is more "nurture". Genetics don't make some boys hate girls, that comes from upbringing, formative experience, learned trauma, maladaptive responses to negative experiences with women, and so on.

Hate must be incubated and nurtured (in some twisted sense of the term, like watering the seeds of what will become a poisonous plant).

People don't just stumble into hatred by accident, it's the last stop on a psychological bus ride that passes many other stops along the way. I do not hate women, but I’ve seen content around on the internet that perpetuate misogynistic views and ideas.

And the general theme seems to be men who have experienced mistreatment, trauma, or rejection from women.

If you're wondering how to raise boys to men who don't hate women you should teach your boys to work hard for what they want and to place their own happiness first.

Most men who hate women are bitter, have had experiences where they were mistreated, missled or simply lost to women due in no small part by social norms. Such examples could be divorce or simply growing up having to experience their fathers misery after a divorce. Add to that social work that is done under the pretence of equality that serves to take away fruits of mens labour to give women easier lives.

let them be boys and do what they naturally do. if they want to play rough sports like football and boxing... let them do it. if they want go hunting and fishing... let them do it. if they want to follow certain male role models... let them do it. don't force them to think a certain way. if you have alternative male role models like their dad, then show them. if he's not in their life, it begs the question why are you keeping the dad away from them?

Several reasons, though I am not sure the answers will be comfortable or accepted. To begin with, men will rise to the standards women set. If women make only fans pages for example, men are not going to respect or wife that person. They may take what she's willing to give while the getting is good, but when she makes herself an object they will take her word for what value she feels she has to offer the world. Everyone goes through an awkward teenager phase where hormones flood their brain and make them want things that they didn't want before. Boys usually go from not caring about girls at all to suddenly having a biologically driven urge to have sex with them. Boys often resent that shift in their brain chemistry, and since they don't know who else to blame for what's happening to them, they sometimes put that resentment on the object of their sudden attraction. As for your sons, I hate to break it to you, but the fact is that they are probably all going to objectify women at some point during their lives (and especially during puberty and their teen years). Why do men objectify women? Well, you're going to have to explain what you men by "objectify". Do you mean viewing women in a sexual way? That's just human nature. Not much we can do about that. But a big part of the problem today is that women sexualize themselves constantly. Ever watched the Grammys or Academy awards? Ever watched most female performers today? Spend any time on Instagram? Have you seen what teenage girls wear to school? Women sexualize themselves constantly, and then complain that they are sexualized.

Why do some men hate women? Because the only gender movement that has any mainstream credibility is feminism, and feminism has been treating men like shit for years. Whether you call yourself a feminist or not, feminism speaks for you. If you want to do something about all the gender hate today, go to the source and use your voice as a woman to do something about it. Men have no voice in the matter because any time they speak out about it they are just called incels. Feminism has created this problem, and there are precious few women honest enough to acknowledge that, let alone try to do anything about it. That's why men are angry at women.

For example, is it objectification to appreciate the human form in art or in real life?

If I admire a cute stranger from afar, am I objectifying her?

That being said it is subjective as to each man as to what his definition of physical appeal and beauty is. However, it depends on the fact as to how a man is, how his attitude and thought process are. When a man takes the time to listen to the women in his life, he comes to realize this.
