Took my car to a family friend, and I feel like I should pay him more? Also an interesting vibe as a whole?

So I know a guy from Church, and have for as long as I can remember. Basically since we were born. He's a great guy, kind, caring, and overall just loves people. He's also I think pretty introverted. I don't know him super well outside of that because I moved for a period through middle and high school, my brother keeps closer touch than I did, but I've always loved his family. He owns a car shop, and he's doing some work for me. When I went to get an estimate, he seemed super excited to see me, held the door, explained the process, etc. He knocked some stuff off the price big time, and told me to trust him when I tried to make sure I wasn't ripping him off. He was showing me the estimate, and he got kinda close and stuff. When I went to leave, he told me to tell my family hi, I told him I definitely would and that I missed him at Church (his family still goes but he's been super busy the last couple of months and hasn't been), he asked about my brother and we talked about him for a minute, but the whole time we were talking after I went to leave, he was leaning on the wall/doorway/I don't remember because this was like 2 days ago, but the other hand on his hip/waist/I don't remember because this was like 2 days ago.

Anyways, he's always been friendly, but the whole vibe was interesting to me because there's no way he's like that with all his customers, even in a small town. I get that to be picked, you have to be friendly. And we've known each other forever. But we were never close so it seems next level maybe? But also he's way mega out of my leauge. So I was

A- wondering if I should somehow pay more because I really should because it looks to me like he knocked off like $100 in labor alone

B- I've heard one hand on hip can mean you offended someone, so I was wondering also if someone had more understanding of that because I'm going to feel awful if I did and

C- I'm wondering if I'm overreading the vibe he gave off
