Are men weak because they don't know real pain like what childbirth or periods feel like?

Inspired by this question here: Guys, what would you do if you have a period for a day? Do you know what to expect?

so since men don't experience the pains of child birth or periods does this mean men are weak or don't know what real pain is?

No, I don't think men are weak. I think the genders are designed to handle certain things better because of their chromosome level (number or type if you can put it that way), as well as the hormones are the regularly surging through their veins. Period pains aren't as bad as people think. Otherwise, we would ALWAYS need pain killers for them! Also, usually only the really fertile women experience those (women who are usually between post puberty - 13 through the age of about late 30's to mid 40's) I mean those who are in their fertile years. The uterus is designed so that when you have cramping, it means it's close to a woman's period or their period is about to start. A period after all, is designed so that the uterus can empty itself because there was no fertilized egg there that needed to be sustained. That said, period pains aren't "unbearable" and I truly feel that some women just like to complain too much. For me (maybe I was just lucky?) I never really got those types of "unbearable" period pains! And lastly, period pains/menstrual pains/PMS, they are mostly bearable (I don't care what any other sissy woman thinks about I believe this to be true anyway!), because they are DULL types of pains. They aren't usually the sharp kind (WHICH I think is worse by the way).

As far as childbirth goes, I unfortunately (or fortunately? I don't know), never got to experience those. I believe they ARE way more painful than just period pains though. They are probably more of BOTH dull as well as sharp pains OR they are DULL pains but they are DULL pains times 50 or something. After all, you're trying to birth a new human being through a "tiny" hole! Lol. It does stretch though, by a lot lol, but that takes time and a lot of contractions! Also, they didn't invent the epidural for nothing! Women, everyday, everywhere, when they are about to give birth, WANT to usually get those, so that it makes their birthing experience less painful.

Men, I think men have a lot of strength. I've been with men (not in a relationship even), that are very strong emotionally. That counts too! Not everything is or has to be physical, even though yeah, that counts. I've also seen traumatic injuries (due to car accidents, fork lift accidents, you name it), where, I don't know to be honest, if a woman would be able to survive it, but I don't know really. Why do you think people usually stereotype/put men into jobs/careers that are more dangerous? ! As in, physically dangerous? ! That's usually a big responsibility, handling a big oil rig out in the sea. They are usually the first to go into battle during a war. They are the ones to help out in Military hospitals, etc. I think in conclusion, we are all the same (in terms of handling certain things), men and women. I also maybe think, it gets more complicated than that, and it becomes an individual thing! Anyway, good question. 🙂

well all ill say is i definitely do not at all envy the women going through childbirth. i won't even pretend to know... but when a woman says stuff like 'men jsut don't know what real pain is' i just gotta roll my eyes a bit lol... like we are not downplaying childbirth pains but as you said men are usually the ones doing the most dangerous jobs out there. and unfortunately injuries or even death are a constant thing when doing such jobs.

I think its best if we don't act all smug or high and mighty do to another person experiencing their pain because they think they experienced worse lol. thats my 2 cents

No I think so, every gender has their own strengths and lack off, there is sure a balance in life but I think men could appreciate women a little more for the pain we deal with lol

About 20 years ago, I was just about to walk out the door to see my chiropractor about a little back trouble I was having and suddenly, the pain was so bad, I couldn't even move!! I started to fall to the floor but caught myself between a close and a wall! I couldn't stand up, nor could I just drop to the floor without making the pain MUCH worse!! I had to stand like that for a couple minutes and wait for my parents to come in from the back yard to help me get to the kitchen table 7 feet away! I spent the rest of the day on the kitchen table crying from the horrendous pain!! When I was finally able to have them call up my chiropractor so I could talk to him, I literally said, "Either cure me or kill me! I REALLY don't care which!!"
After being on that table for about 5 or 6 hours, crying the whole time, I got so tired from crying I started to yawn and JUST doing that got the pain started all over again!!
About 7 years ago, I had a similar pain in my back! Not QUITE as bad but still I was unable to move very much! I COULD make it to the bathroom to pee and it took me several minutes to get there, about 15 feet away, but, I was so scared of having to take a shit, I actually held it for several days!! After about 5 days of not shitting, I finally HAD to go and it WAS like having a baby!!! I screamed my head off and it took at least 5:00 to get it all out!!! According to the birth certificate...

It's been scientifically proven men can handle more pain than women, we have been evolved through fighting since the beginning of time, unlike women. So we have been hurt much more, so we handle more pain an have a bit better healing ability through genetic selection. If women could escape childbirth they all would when it starts. But they can't so they have no other option then get through it.

No, it doesn't mean men are weak. We just experience pain in different ways, normally not via biological function.

Women get cramps, give birth and what not. Essentially the male equivalent is kidney stones. So yeah, we suffer pain, but not monthly like that.

No. I expect everyone has experienced cramps in their guts at some point in their lives. It's bloody painful, but at least it isn't a regular thing like periods. Women's periods vary a lot in how painful they are, I'm told.

Childbirth is a whole other story. I'm very grateful that I'll never have to experience anything like it.

Also if death in childbirth was a common occurrence before modern medicine according to this logic wouldn't many women be considered too weak to deal with it. No sane person would say this so I don't know why some women get so caught up in proving they're stronger than men because of it. Don't mean men are weak, just means women's brains are wired those types of pains. When head transplants become a thing, going to be really interesting to see who the male brain reacts to those types of pain. Also going to be interesting to see how female brain reacts to getting kicked in the balls.

On average men have higher pain tolerance because they used to hunt big and dangerous game, we still hunt big and dangerous game.

While women did participate in hunting they were more on the gathering side which is why on average they recognize different shades of colours better.

In this sense women got the screwed by evolution as they got both lower pain tolerance and periods.

According to people who have gone through childbirth, what I had to go through in 2009 in relation to empyema, I experienced more pain than childbirth in that time period.
